    Successful Week? (:D)

On 29/02/08, we held a mothers day event, selling chocolates. We also sold some presents, including a teddy bear which people from our Fir Vale family could give their mothers (and hopefully gain something out of it ((shhh!))) but more importantly make her day.

It was a hit. We made money, £33 to be precise, not much I know but considering we only spent £50 I'd say it was not bad. We also made mothers and children happy at the same time! What else could a business ask for? Happy customers and lots of money. We sold a whole range of chocolates, from Ferrero Rocher, Bendicks and Thorton's Hearts. Who's wallets couldnt resist our chocolate trance.

Week beginning 03/03/08, was probably our most practical week. Selling raffle tickets by the hundreds, leading to a lucky dip. Although the odds may not have been in favour of the customers, at 50p a ticket, 10 for £2 or 30 for £5 and the prizes to be won, who could resist?

The prizes to be won were, a phone, DVD player, Wi-fi system, mp3 player, chocolate fountain and art set. The money for the prizes was funded by Diane Haimeed (thank you :)) from the BASSSP (Bungreave After School Study Support Project). Three students and two teachers won, (one won twice!). The draw was held on 07/03/08 at 12:45 (dinnertime). Mrs. Bowes (our helpful headteacher, who also used to be a bingo caller) volunteered to pick out the winners and announce their names infront of the audience (just to prove that we were being fair). We made £127.40.

So overall we have made quite a bit of money, way more then x100 what we made before (£0). But we have to keep it up, so its back to the drawing board for another wacky idea to speed us through the last week. We'll keep you updated.

    Bye for now!
