They say a picture speaks a thousand words, that means if you do a 30 second promotional video clip that is 750 pictures - that's the equivalent of 750,000 words!!!! there is no excuse - video is the medium to use when marketing your business. You only need a handycam and tripod and off you go....

Keep your video clips short (30 seconds max) :-

(1) Weekly new flash updating viewers on your progress - make this fun and creative

(2) Weekly video diaries showing progress, you might want to introduce some likeable characters

(3) Video competitions, set a challenge - this is a good way to see whose looking at your business

(4) Meet the team clip - create an amausing introduction to who you are

(5) Do a creative profile of the business - short ans sweet let people know what your selling

(6) Do a TV style advert - 30 seconds max

(7) Create a wacky profit meter video which you can change each week

(8) Did you know section - let people know unusal facts about your business

(9) Create a top tips clip

I've just been checking out the Firth Park Top Tips video - it's brilliant - you can see it in the 7th November posting in this blog.

I reckon we should get it on the home page of the BiG Challenge site. It sets a serious standard for all the up and coming BiG Challenge video makers to beat.

Congratulations to Fashion Friends from Myers Grove Key Stage 3 - the first school team to set up their logo on the website. The next thing is to get a photo and a description of your business up there and you'll be looking very good.

On Friday 14th December the Big Challenge film team started the film training at Myers Grove City Learning Centre.

Eight students from Myers Grove and Wisewood school attended, starting their journey into the creative world of film making. They will be supporting all the Big Challenge businesses from their school - ensuring they have a stong visual presence and hopefully bringing them closer to those big prizes.

I would like to say a very big hello to all those budding businesses out there. It promises to be a very exciting time over the next few months, it's almost a shame Christmas is getting in the way of making loads of money!!!
