Our demo event last week went really well. Free tea and coffee and biscuits were provided for all staff and we put up posters and practically dragged out all the staff we could from classrooms and the staffroom! We made about £20 from the day and received lots of positive feedback. Concluding the challenge, we hope to expand our business onwards and upwards from here after half-term outside of the Challenge. Today, 3-Step Media visited Emmanuel Junior School.

 

Emmanuel is one of Westfield's feeder schools in the local community.

In a bid to advertise our services and products, and grasp the attention of our target audience, we are expanding into the local community.

We met with Headteacher Mr Daryll Hynd and our ex-teacher Mrs Smith.

3-Step Media presented their products & services presentation and explored the example products with the teachers.

Mrs Smith gave us some excellent advice, which was to focus in on starters/jigsaw type activities, maybe for revision, but forget the gradesheets as junior schools already have their own systems.

Mr Hynd agreed and said that Emmanuel would be delighted to welcome us back, after we've consulted with them again, and present some of our products to them properly to teachers and a class of children.

This way they could see how our products enhance teaching and learning through application and skills training in ICT.

We will keep Emmanuel informed and hope for more exciting opportunities such as this in the near future.

Yesterday we presented our promotional presentation and product examples in staff briefing. We have received numerous positive responses and we thank you for listening yesterday morning.

 

Next week we will be visiting local feeder schools, advertising our products and our business.

 This will extend our business further into the community and enhance teaching & learning in our local area.

We are currently also putting final touches to our demo event plans, we will keep you informed!

Yesterday we met with a local businessman to discuss our business and gain ideas on how to improve.

In our meeting Andrew expressed his opinions on our plans and progress, and gave us ideas to work on.

One of these is a demo session, where staff can see and use our products for real. We are currently working on arranging this.

We're pushing the BiG Business marketing this week, targeting teachers around the school and 'getting personal' as the businessman described.

We had a brilliant morning with Paul Oxborough who came from Pro Consultancy to film our advert and interviews.

A Y10 media student, Amy, controlled the camera and asked us questions - very professionally!

Soon we will post the finished video to our team site, and put it on our own website.

We have now also extended our services out to feeder schools and hope for many more orders over half term.

On Wednesday of next week our team will be meeting a video maker and filming for our corporate video.

This will include interviews with us and information on our products and our business.
