    Animal Solutions so far...

Our pictures show our leaflet which we created in order to promote our idea of solutions to a problem which was put to us.  The problem we faced was to sell ice back to those who had plenty of it. We therefore entered the spirit of the competition and came up with a practical treat for huskies, meeting a range of requirements on the move.

Our research showed that huskies are fed frozen meat at the end of their journey.  We felt that it would be nice for them to have a treat in between stops to refresh and rehydrate them.  Our team came up with frozen treats enclosed in ice which consist of meat, biscuits and obviously water, all in one.  therefore a refreshing and energy boosting treat can be given at any time when the need is felt.

    Another sucessful animal solution!

    From The Beginning...

In December we formed a team to take part in the BiG Challenge and Animal Solutions was formed.

Our aim was to look into the needs of animals and to find solutions for their problems as a result of this.

One issue that was brought to our attention was that of a number of cats and dogs who lost or broke their canine teeth.  The question that was posed was could they be repaired or replaced?

We decided that this was a problem worthy of research and something we were able to get our teeth into.  Our research demonstrated remarkable results by methods of a questionnnaire, asking potential customers how many people owned pets and how much they would be willling to spend on their animals.   Consequently we felt that the research was worthwhile.

We then entered the BiG Challenge and received £25 to begin with.  To show the team's faith in the project, we matched the £25 with our own money buying shares in Animal Solutions.  We have purchased stock including collars and leads to help raise funds to continue with our research.  We are now at the stage where we have out first prototype canine tooth replacement.

Our researchers have worked closely with the college dental department and we are very greatful for their support and efforts.  We look forward to working with them to achieve the finished products.

    Exciting times ahead!

So here's what we do...(and we bet you'd never thought of it before!)

Have a glance at our latest pics demonstrating what we do....

These all show how we developed our idea, right back from the start when we first heard about a cat with a broken canine (see the mould pictures). Since then, most of our time and money has been invested in looking into ways of addressing this problem!

To tell the tooth (couldn't resist, sorry. No more puns I promise - ed) we have spent most of our time researching this idea and discussing it with various experts and hopefully soon will see our idea become a reality!!! Meanwhile we are selling all kinds of animal accessories to pay the bills, so look out for our next launch; the story on CD "Landy's Tale". And if your dog or cat has a dental problem, you know who to call!!

     Bye for now!!

We've decided to bite into the world of business and help those fluffy little critters, bless 'em, who lose their teeth.

     Watch this space.....
