    New Idea

Asrid, a lady who suffers from server arthritis has booked in for a mini facial on the morning of saturday 1st of March. As she is an OAP i have given her a discount on the price, this was needed to be put in place when after thinking about the prices old people can afford for treatments. Such desision examples our service's development.

Price of treatment reduced to £6.

    The pressure is on.

It's been a few days since the last treatment but i think such a large event needed a break to recharge and re-new products. Today, monday 25th of Febuary my mum had a facial, eyebrow wax and her nails painted. This bumped us up by £16.

It's 17 days untill the deadline, March 14th, and the group is feeling the pressure. In just under 3 weeks we need to make at least £200. Such expense has made us uneasy. The troubles of balancing revision, homework and coursework for y11 GCSE's is proving difficult. But our determination and dedication is providing us with a sense of weight being lifted off our shoulders. We are hoping to introduce a raffle to gain extra money. We have increased our promation by doing a questionaire in town, we have told teachers that this and next Thursday we are holding a teachers beauty night, we had booked more appointments in advance and letting people know that time is running out so to book soon. Hopefully such things hould help us reach our target.

From now we are going to work extra hard.

    Big Day!

Wednesday the 13th was probably the most hard working and enjoyable night yet. About 7-8 people turned up at Amy's girls night in which made the three of us, Loren, Amy and myself very accupied for the rest of the evening. Late into the night we did one luxery facial on a man, 3 half leg waxes, 4 eyebrow waxes, 3 eyelsh tints, an eyebrow package, 2 eyebrow tints and an exstension cut. This imense total of treatments accumulated an impressive £70! The most we had made in one day.

Such an event proved both highly sociable and rewarding. And afterwards it made us want to carry on this service after the Big Challenge because of such qualities. We have bonded closer as a group, gained more organisational skills and learnt to value money and the responsiblities needed to make it.

    :)

    More Treatments!

On the 9th of febuary my brother's girlfriend sam had treatments again. This gained our teans confidence as we regonized our growing popularity and our gaining of a loyal field of clients. Sam had a mini facial, which is growing quite popular and a manicure.

This combined made us a small but respectable £17.50

    Services

    January 31st

We had a brilliant experience with our teachers Alison and Jackie. They each had many treatments which added a huge £43 to our total. Later that night we also had a firther £8 added by two of our friends having their arms waxed.

One of the most promising aspects about this paticualr day was that our teachers had brought faward a great idea to get all their friends from the PDSA to have treatemnts on a kind of spoonser day. This would fantastic is followed through as plenty of money would be injected in to the total from such an ivent.

Monday 28th of January was an exciting day as my auntie Lisa and nanan Carole has plenty treatments. A leg wax, pedicure, manicure and mini facial gave us £43 more to add to the money pot. Not only was this day fn and exciting but really socialable and more like a slumber party than work.

    Services

16th of January my brothers girlfriend has a facial. As the treatment was not booked and was informed on impulse i didn't have the steamer and the treatment was slightly rushed, as the client was short for time. so i gave her a dicount which resulted in adding £5 to our total so far.

    Services

So our first appointment was cancelled on Januray 4th. I guess that's what it's like though in the begining of a business. Be prepared for things not to go according to plan.

But a few days later on the 10th of January we had our reall appointment. Which got us our first £13.

    Information

    Hi,

So i should probably inform you more about our service to the sheffield communtity. Haven had an uncle who's been diagnosed with MS i know all about disabilities. Currently in hospital he's coming to terms with having to down size his house to a bungalow since he can not climb upstairs. He's only 27. He knows that the furture for him will include a wheelchair as his condition is deteriating. Disptite his gender my aunit who is also a Beauty Therapist helps his condition by frequently massaging his legs.

Abby who is also part of the group has a mother in a wheelchair due to MS. She is very involved with the concept of beauty and always trys to find beauty therapist that can come to her home and do various and rewarding treatments on her. The fact that she hasn't found any help really influenced the idea of mobile beauty therapy for our team.

Opposed to people like my uncle and Abbyy's mum, others in general find salons not only expensive but slightly intimidating. After having home treatemnts all my life i think the mobile side of beauty have so many more benifits than going to salons.

Thankfully we all had proffessional equiptment already to start up the business as Lisa and myself have done plenty work experience in the beauty field. Loren is currently studying hair and college and we all have great ability in make-up. Fortunatly my auntie had given me every product we need to endure all aspects of beauty. This includes, foot spa, facial steamer, manicure and pedicure cutical removal equiptment, all facial products, wax pot, waxing strips, spatulars, after wax lotion, massage oils, eyelash and eyebrow tinting solutions and many more.

We started our service before christamas but as we are all revising for GCSE exams then and for January the business was put on hold. But this give us time to make advertisment like leaflets to promate our service and get the word out to all our friends and family. We have made a questionaire to proceed in town. And we have recently got our website up and running!

    About Us

Mobile Beauty Therapy for the disabled, homebound, elderly and others. This includes going to peoples homes unlike in salons were it can be seen as intimidating and expensive. Mobile Beauty Therapy is better than going to a salon because you're more relaxed and more comfortable in your own environment, less likely to smudge nail polish by travelling home and a lot of salons don't have disabled access. These factors are the only a small minority that add to the advantages to mobile beauty therapy. Beauty Therapy encourages people to become more confident in their appearance and look after their bodies.
