Exciting new projects and events!

We have joined forces with "Sheffield Live!". Alex Bassett our schools radio producer is now presenting The Local Talent Show once a month alongside DJ Tanz. You can hear a recent show that Alex has presented here :- http://www.sheffieldlive.org/podcast/index.php?id=16003

We are also in the middle of arranging some exciting new events including an expo in order to help musicians, schools and music insiders to network and support each others' music projects. We are currently in the middle of researching venues to hold the event at so that it is easily accessible for guests to attend. We are hoping to gain the support of local music professionals and will be asking some of them to attend to give talks and advice to those wishing to pursue a career within the music industry.

Within the next few months we will begin to regularly run fundraising events again in order to promote the music artists we are working with and  to further expand our project and brand.  The next event we will be involved with is Birkdale Schools "Band Night 2012" on Saturday the 3rd of March, with various bands performing in order to raise funds for the school charity.

BATTLE OF THE BAND NIGHT: SATURDAY 3RD MARCH 7-10pm

Young Music would like to invite the BiG Challenge participants who want to come to this band night, who want to meet us and sign up for their own school Battle of the Bands Night, who are in a band themselves and want to get their band bio and song on our Young Music Website to get some exposure. You could get an interview at the Sheffield Live Radio, play at the 02 Sheffield this Summer and we will hook you up with some great industry contacrs. Enterprising students wanting to join the franchise have the chance to make hundreds of pounds too!

Tickets are £5 and the event starts at 7pm, come at 6pm to meet Young Music @ Birkdale School Sheffield

THE YOUNG MUSIC BATTLE OF THE BANDS NIGHT FRANCHISING OPPORTUNITY

Our Birkdale School Enterprise Club has recently launched a successful business called Young Music.  To promote our growth and involve other schools in sharing ‘Best Practice’ in regards to enterprise development we would like to be able to present our business ideas to your school at no cost.  The Young Music Battle of the Bands Night Franchise Model entered into this year’s BiG Challenge requires no start up capital. Plus we will support the members of your franchise and become business partners with them. They will be able to use our franchising and social media networks, have access to all of our marketing material, music promoters and business planning and we guaranteed to make the school money.

We have asked that during the BIG Challenge interested schools sign up to our Franchise Network.  However, NOW we are offering to come to your school, work with a team of entrepreneurs to start your own Young Music Battle of the Bands Night Franchise for free. We will help you get organised, show you the ropes, make money for your franchise and school, promote your school’s original bands and help them get EXPOSURE with all of our music industry contacts and mentors. All we ask is that you pay us a small % of your ticket sales. In turn we will help you run your business and provide you with all the social media coverage you and your bands need to promote what is going on. Plus at your event we will have Jackson Cage and Scrim two popular local recording artists come and play a few songs as headliners to the first five schools who establish a Franchise and CONTACT US.
